Rachel McCreadie

b. 1994

A contemporary artist living and working in Dundee, Scotland. Investigating both the physical and psychological nature of uneasiness from the human body. Focusing on the duality between attraction and repulsion within the considered normality of social expectations. Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) has played a key part within my research, going on to motivate many of my works. The non-descript anatomical sculptures employ a variety of materials, conveying appropriate weight and texture in a bid to create comfort from the uncomfortable.
